PPS board is a white, high crystallinity, hard and brittle polymer. The relative {HotTag} density of pure PPS is 1.3, but it will increase after modification. PPS has a very small water absorption rate, generally only about 0.03%. PPS has good flame retardancy, and its oxygen index is as high as 44%. Compared with other plastics, it is classified as a high flame retardant material in plastics.
PPS sheet has excellent thermal function, its melting point exceeds 280°C, heat distortion temperature exceeds 260°C, short-term resistance to 260°C, and long-term use at 200°C. It degrades in the air at 700°C, and the inert gas still maintains 40% of the weight at 1000°C. The specially modified varieties have a heat distortion temperature of over 350℃.
PPS sheet has good radiation resistance, which can reach Gy 1×108. It is a new material unmatched by other engineering plastics. It is an excellent material in the fields of electronics, electrical, machinery, instruments, aviation, aerospace, and military.
